Scanning & Print options explained
Are you a first time visitor to our site? If so below you'll find out all about the different options that we offer, to make the correct choice for your needs when ordering.
Developing
All films sent into us need to be developed, this gives us the negatives or slides to enable you to get your prints and scans. We offer a Develop only option for our customers who have the facility to scan or print themselves but are unable to process film.
Scanning
We offer 4 different scanning resolution options, these are
Low Resolution: Ideal for using on your social media platforms and for being able to produce prints up to 6"x4" (15cmx10cm). These scans have a resolution of 3601px x 2433px and are approximately 7Mb in size
Standard Resolution: This is the most popular scanning option as they are still suitable for your social media platforms and are able to produce prints up to 6"x9" (15cmx23cm). These scans have a resolution of 3637px x 2419px and are approximately 8.5Mb in size

These scans have a resolution of 3637px x 2433px and are approximately 10.5Mb in size for jpegs & 26Mb for Tiffs. We also offer these in two file format options Jpeg (most popular) and Tiff, this file format is known as a lossless file format as it retains more information and is of a higher quality than Jpeg, but produces a much larger file size.

Print Options
We offer 6x4 matte or 6x4 glossy prints as standard services, if you should require a white border around the prints please just let us know in the special instructions in the cart, there is no extra charge if you require this option.
Negative Cutting Options
As standard we will cut netives into strips of 4's and they will be returned to you in individual plastic sleeving, alternatively we can cut them into 6's, and again returned in plastic sleeving, ideal for those that index their negatives in a binder using glassine sleeves, lastly if you would prefer not to have your negatives cut, that's no problem either, we'll just roll them up and pop them in a plastic film tub and return them to you .
